The honest explanation
A game about hiring.
Not a hiring platform.
UNHIREABLE is a satirical browser game about impossible job listings, contradictory interviews, and the language companies use when they mean something else. It is fiction. It is not a job board, a recruitment service, or a way to obtain real employment.

What you actually play
You choose a fictional role, enter a procedurally assembled interview process, solve interactive contradictions, and receive a shareable candidate report. The game has three ending categories: rejection, a fictional minimum-wage offer, and a secret ending available only when the candidate has collected enough evidence.
The free core campaign has three chapters. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same deterministic interview for a UTC day. Both are free and do not require the expansion.
Corporate Nightmare is a separate one-time expansion with exclusive jobs and a boardroom puzzle. It is not a subscription, an application quota, or a requirement for the core game. Payment availability is shown honestly on the expansion page; when checkout is not configured, no purchase can be made.
What it is not
- It is not a real job board or recruiter.
- It does not offer real employment, interviews, or salaries.
- It is not affiliated with any real company mentioned in commentary.
- It does not use fake testimonials or invented endorsements.
- It does not sell player data or run advertising.
Planned content
Corporate Legends, DLC2, and DLC3 are planned. They are not playable or purchasable, and no release date is promised. Corporate Legends is intended to be an editorially reviewed series about real recruitment patterns; when it launches, real companies will be presented as subjects of parody and commentary, never as partners. Draft company records are excluded from routes and sitemaps until editorial and legal review are complete.
How to explore
Start with the free campaign, read the mechanics field guide, or browse the fictional job listings. The Corporate Legends editorial page explains the planned series and its standards without pretending it has launched.
Questions with answers
Frequently asked, honestly answered.
Is UNHIREABLE a real job board?
No. UNHIREABLE is a browser game. Every company, role, salary, interviewer, benefit, and rejection is fictional. It does not accept applications for real jobs and cannot connect a player with an employer.
How much of UNHIREABLE is free?
The complete three-chapter core campaign, all base jobs, all three endings, unlimited replays, the daily challenge, and shareable report cards are free. Corporate Nightmare is an optional one-time expansion; the free game does not depend on it.
What is Corporate Nightmare?
Corporate Nightmare is the planned one-time expansion with three exclusive Vantablack Group jobs, a boardroom org-chart mechanic, and a three-chapter expansion campaign. It is not a subscription and does not add an application quota. Checkout may be disabled while payment configuration is unavailable.
Are the companies real?
The companies in the playable game are fictional. Corporate Legends is a planned editorial series that may discuss real companies as subjects of parody and commentary. Real companies are not partners, sponsors, or endorsers, and no real-company page is published without editorial and legal review.
What are Corporate Legends, DLC2, and DLC3?
They are planned content, not launched products. They are not playable, purchasable, or available for pre-order. This page will change only when actual content is published.
Does UNHIREABLE require an account?
No. The game uses a signed anonymous session cookie to keep track of applications, campaign progress, and daily attempts. There is no email signup, name, résumé, or social login. A paid expansion can be restored with a license key if one is purchased in the future.
What data does UNHIREABLE measure?
The game stores anonymous game state and aggregate funnel counters. It does not store raw IP addresses, email addresses, or user agents, and it does not use advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Public reports are intentionally noindex and contain no personal data.
FAQ structured data is included because the questions and answers are visible on this page. It does not guarantee a search rich result.
