These Terms govern your use of UNHIREABLE, a satirical game and fictional job-market simulation. By playing or purchasing the Corporate Nightmare expansion, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
It is fiction
Every company, role, person, salary, currency, benefit, policy, and rejection in UNHIREABLE is fictional. No real job is offered. No real employment relationship is created. Salaries are in fictional compensation units (FCU). The in-game “minimum wage” is an invented number and is not a statement about any real minimum wage.
Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the game for personal entertainment. You may share public report cards and result text. You may not scrape the service at scale, bypass entitlement checks, interfere with other players, attack the infrastructure, reverse-engineer payment controls, or use the service to break the law.
Free core and the Corporate Nightmare expansion
The core campaign, every base job, all three endings, free replays, and the daily challenge are available without payment or an application quota. Corporate Nightmare is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks three exclusive jobs, an exclusive boardroom puzzle, and a three-chapter expansion campaign. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
Expansion access is verified server-side from a signed payment-provider webhook; a checkout redirect or a client-side flag is not proof of purchase. Test-mode purchases are not live payments and do not create a real charge. A successful payment produces a license key that can move the expansion to another anonymous session or device after cookie loss. Only one restored session may be active per purchase at a time, subject to the Refund Policy.
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for paid access. Its checkout, payment methods, taxes, receipts, and customer communications are subject to its terms.
Availability and changes
We may fix, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the game. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that an anonymous session will survive cookie loss, secret rotation, or database maintenance. A paid expansion can be recovered with the license key from the Lemon Squeezy receipt. Report links are public and unguessable; do not treat them as private.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. It is entertainment, not career, legal, financial, or employment advice. We are not liable for decisions you make about a real job based on a fictional recruiter. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
